Charity Clay Pigeon Shoot SEPTEMBER 2009

We held our second charity clay pigeon shoot on the afternoon of 24th September 2009 at Lakenheath Clay Target Centre. Once again we were very pleased with the success of this event despite the current economic climate we raised over £4500 for our two charities, St Nicholas Hospice in Bury St Edmunds and the Rainbow Ward West Suffolk Hospital.

We had 18 teams shooting on the day with some very generous donations for our auction and raffle helping us to raise a combined total of £2990. Due to the continued generosity of people prior to the event and on the day we were able to raise a further £1150 from donations and sponsorship.

Our winning team on the day were Flat Battery, Henry, Bob and Johannes with a score of 197 out of 210, with the runners up being our winners of last year Landmark Scaffolding with a score of 189. Philip Thorrold and Barry Simson were joint high gun with an incredible score of 49 out of 50.

Once again this was a most enjoyable day raising a significant amount of money for our two chosen charities, we would like to thank everyone for their generosity and support.
